Building automation system
The classic approach to the entire building automation system (GAS in.De.) is a 3-level model:
1.Ground level: (« Feldebene » in. De.)
is the lowest level and contains the sensors and actuators.
The sensors represent the input interface of the system through:
Actuators form the counterparty by executing:
2.Automation level (« Automationsebene » in. De.)
All automation stations and controllers are assigned to an automation level.
These can be freely programmed and are mainly used to control, regulate, or optimise technical systems.
3.management level (Managementebene in. De.)
The third level (management level) enables the interaction between man and machine through management and control equipment with visualisation and control options.
As the components’ intelligence continues to evolve, increasingly complex functions are allowed.
In addition to this classic, infrastructure-based approach ("Hardware"), the focus is on functionality.
The breakdown is as follows:
Parts automation (« Raumautomation (RA) » in. De.)
Installation automation (« Anlageautomation (AA) » in. De.)
Building automation management (« Gebäudeautomationmanagement (GAM) » in. De.).
